The Origin of the Name
Where does the name “Le Goût du Libre” come from? In the early days of the business, its founder was walking through downtown Montréal, Canada—a city known for its variety and quality of restaurants. While reflecting on what to name a company aimed at introducing others to Free open-source software, he came across the restaurant Le Goût du Vietnam. The phrase caught his attention, and the rest is history. That restaurant still exists today!
